Earth System Models

This is a portal to an array of interactive models of  Earth Systems, which can be accessed and manipulated using STELLA, a free player available from STELLA, or in a browser hosted form (no STELLA license required).

What is the point of all these models?

The Earth is a complex system, whose dynamics (or changes over time) are interesting and important. The idea behind these mostly simple models is that by experimenting with them, we can better understand how they behave, what they are sensitive to, where the feedbacks are, and how they might evolve in the future.
