The Hydrogeology Program is within the
nationally ranked Department of Geosciences,
in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. The Hydro Program dates from 1961, and
its graduates are among the nation's
most outstanding hydroscientists, academics and consultants.
We welcome
interested students to our B.Sc., M.S., and Ph.D. programs. Thesis and
dissertation topics may emphasize field, laboratory and/or theoretical
developments. Opportunities exist to develop hydroscience interests in a
wide range of topics including fluid flow and solute transport processes,
hydrotectonics, GIS, aqueous and organic geochemistry, hydrogeophysics, and
environmental geology, among other topics. The Hydro Group is well-linked with other
hydrology groups on campus, including those in Agriculture, Civil Engineering, and Forestry.
